Emil adores all of Peridot right now, but he especially adores Ven because Ven was SUPER FRIENDLY TO HIM. And has been showing him everything, and has been, IN GENERAL, super friendly and helpful to him. He pretty much feels safe around Ven, which is a lot for Emil, because he just... feels unsafe all the time? So, that kind of helped with easing his transition into Aather, and it makes him a lot more willing and likely to go to Ven with ALL THE PROBLEMS and ALL THE EXCITE. He just wants to share things with him and, well, be his friend.
