I WAS GLAD THAT WAS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN 'cause I didn't think Lloyd would have any good ideas... he might've named him Gem for his eyes. He will probably also remark on the "Emil the Brave" thing now :Da

Will Ratatosk direct his I HAVE SO MUCH HATE RN when he happens, the way he did in canon? If I am recalling this correctly he stayed pretty much in line with Emil's desires when he first emerged.

Yes! He will focus it on Lloyd, and it will be kind of sad at the same time. But, I think he'll be a little more dangerous than in canon because Marta was very much a mitigating factor for him? He'd have done a lot more damage had Marta not been there to stop him. I'm pretty much giving it up as a given that when Emil earns that skill back, someone will probably get hurt. And if they aren't rescued, they'll probably be killed. Just because Ratatosk is that full of rage.

But I think Lloyd can handle it!

... What is Lloyd going to think when Ratatosk emerges?

Maybe Peridot will be able to help with that! ...some of Peridot... I mean, Cassie could nervestrike him :|a but yeah people trying to kill Lloyd is pretty whatever for him really.

...HE WILL BE CONFUSED... and also kind of wonder if half the people from his world are crazy secretly... he doesn't really have a problem with the idea of people focusing anger on him, though, especially when he thinks it is probably legit! So he will just be like :\a okay, I'm not going to let you kill me but you can feel that way, whatever. Emil will probably be way more horrified at his own rage than Lloyd when Ratatosk switches off again. I am honestly looking forward to it because Lloyd doesn't interact much with Ratatosk directly in canon, since the "Emil doesn't understand Ratatosk's nature and lets Ratatosk run with things for long periods of time" period coincides with the "Lloyd is being DMC4 Dante and fucks off after two-comment threads" period. Maybe I can also top the angry squirrel :U

Do you see Ratatosk as having insecurities? Like, does he ever self-examine and go "WHY AM I SO ANGRY" while he's still amnesiac in canon, do you think - or does he just use his rage to block out the sads?

Hmm... No, I don't think he does. Or if he does, it's because he worries about what Marta thinks of him, because of how he lines up with Emil's desires at first. I think he sees his anger as perfectly rational, even while everyone else around him is just stunned by what he's willing to do, when it really makes a lot more sense to just walk away slowly.

Ratatosk gets the lucky break of pushing off his insecurities and doubts onto Emil, so he can act without worrying about the consequences, because Emil will deal with the fallout one way or another.

Do you think the Netted Lion would like someone like Ratatosk to play with? :|a

Mmmmaybe! It depends on how Ratatosk develops, since obviously he will have different development from in canon in Aather as well. :|a The Lion is interested in bound objects, and Ratatosk in canon is very much bound to his anger and pain, even if he's consciously in denial of the part where he hurts. It's going to depend on whether Ratatosk in Aather decides to embrace that aspect of himself or not and how much. The Lion would see him as firmly bound pre-canon and fraying progressively over the course of it, and then undoing like... one knot in endgame. Ratatosk pre-canon would definitely be of interest to the Lion, and Ratatosk during canon would be as well, just for the "...but isn't it easier to just stay within your chains? Don't waver. Just accomplish the role you have set yourself and deny anything else" part. Ratatosk in endgame, not so much, because while he's still limiting himself incredibly he's not likely to go back to blind wrathful fixity and hidden trauma, either.

That's a long way to say "idk yet we'll see," but Ratatosk will certainly be interesting to him early in his arc regardless. :Db

Now, since I've just talked about mine some... have you ever considered apping a Persona? What would they be if you did?

I have! This mostly came up when I was reading Fables, but I always thought apping a fairytale type would be fun. But I waver between thinking I would app a Frau Totenkinder type (basically, the evil witch who eats children in every story) or going for the more Morgan Le Fay type.

I probably would do Frau Totenkinder, however, because I still am trying to decide if I want to app Morgana from Merlin to Aather one day because she would be fun to figure out.

I also just realized Frau Totenkinder would be like. Mother Goose's mortal enemy and that's super fun. :D

What type of game would you like to run one day?

I WANT TO RUN ALL THE DERPY SURVEY TAKE-HOME GAMES... stuff about gossip and intelligence and feelings :U ALL THE STUFF THE LION HATES so I can't do now without stealing someone else's Persona!

Which Persona do you think Emil would like best?

Is there a thing you hope that Lloyd and Emil do one day?
